To deepen the reform of undergraduate talent cultivation and strengthen the foundation for nurturing academic-oriented talents, the Third Concluding and Fourth Opening Ceremony of the "Undergraduate Academic Talent Incubation Program" of the School of Accounting was successfully held on the afternoon of May 22 in Room 246 of the Quanxue Building. Attendees included Professor Hang LIU, Dean of the School of Accounting; Professor Kejing CHEN, Associate Dean; Associate Professor Haoran XU, Associate Dean; Associate Professor Liang XIAO, faculty representative; Yijun LIU, Teaching Secretary; and all program participants. The ceremony was presided over by Kejing CHEN.


At the beginning of the ceremony, Hang LIU delivered a speech. He fully affirmed the rigorous spirit of inquiry and outstanding achievements demonstrated by the third cohort of students in their academic research, and encouraged the fourth cohort to remain true to their academic aspirations, hone their research capabilities, explore new knowledge, enhance their competencies through a commitment to truth and pragmatism, and steadily advance along their academic paths.
Subsequently, Kejing CHEN announced the list of third‑cohort students who successfully completed the program, and Haoran XU announced the list of fourth‑cohort students approved for program participation. Qiyong ZHANG, a representative of the third cohort, shared his research experience, recounting his growth journey from literature review and empirical research to academic exchanges. He expressed gratitude to the School for its platform and to his supervisor for their guidance, and encouraged fellow students to be brave in exploration and tackle difficulties. Jintian QIAN, a representative of the fourth cohort, spoke about his passion and expectations for academic research, pledging to cherish the learning opportunity, pursue rigorous scholarship, actively innovate, and live up to the School's expectations.
During the ceremony, Liang XIAO presented completion certificates to the third‑cohort students, and Haoran XU presented project approval certificates to the fourth‑cohort students, encouraging all participants to delve deeper into academic research and achieve further excellence.
This ceremony reviewed past cultivation experiences and launched a new round of academic incubation, further establishing a platform for undergraduate academic growth and exchange. In the future, the School of Accounting will continue to optimise the training system of the "Undergraduate Academic Talent Incubation Program," strengthen research guidance and faculty mentorship, help undergraduates enhance their academic literacy and innovation capabilities, and cultivate more high‑calibre accounting academic reserve talents.
