The Trade Union of the School of Accounting successfully hosted an event on the afternoon of March 4 at Conference Room 245, Quanxue Building. The event combined efforts to carry forward the spirit of Lei Feng with a celebration of International Women's Day under the theme "Celebrating Spring and the Radiance of Women."  All faculty members of the School participated in the event, which was presided over by Wei XIONG, Member of the School's Party Committee and Chair of the School's Trade Union. The event consisted of two segments: a session dedicated to promoting the spirit of Lei Feng, and a competition showcasing the style and presence of the School's female faculty. The activities were rich in content and diverse in form.

During the session on promoting the spirit of Lei Feng, all faculty members watched a video recounting the moving story of Jin Chenglong, a university student in Liaoning Province, who selflessly sacrificed his life to save others. The event also included a knowledge quiz focused on carrying forward the spirit of Lei Feng and raising awareness of women's rights and interests, which helped disseminate information on relevant laws, such as the Civil Code's provisions on acts of courage. This session further fostered an environment conducive to promoting the spirit of Lei Feng, upholding justice, and respecting and caring for women, allowing all faculty members to enhance mutual understanding and build consensus through interaction.

In the competition segment showcasing the style and presence of female faculty members, women teachers from the School's Office, the Student Affairs Office, and the Departments of Accounting, Financial Management, Auditing, and Valuation took to the stage one after another to present their personal image design displays. Dressed in elegant attire and exuding poise and confidence, they fully embodied the unique charm of the School's female faculty—intellectual, gracious, capable, and refined—showcasing the vitality and brilliance of women educators in the new era.

At the conclusion of the event, Yanyang LI, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Dean of the School of Accounting, delivered a closing address. She called on all faculty members to learn from Comrade Jin Chenglong and to carry forward, promote, and practice the spirit of Lei Feng in the new era. She also extended her most sincere festive greetings and warmest wishes to all female faculty members, and announced the list of award recipients, including the Distinguished Women Award, the Most Charismatic Woman Award, and the Outstanding Young Woman Award. She noted that the event successfully combined thoughtfulness with enjoyment, not only fostering a strong atmosphere among faculty members of learning from Lei Feng, upholding virtue, and striving to be pioneers, but also fully showcasing the intellectual elegance, confidence, and independence of the School's female faculty. She encouraged women faculty members to embrace their missions and dedicate themselves to contributing to the high-quality development of the University and to the nation's efforts to build a leading country in education.
