Abstract:
Since 2018, a major debate surrounding the auditing industry has been raging in the UK, stemming from a crisis of trust and frequent issues in the auditing industry. Therefore, some scholars have proposed new audit objectives and principles, envisioned new auditing professions, and proposed suggestions on how to enhance the value of audit reports. A systematic reform plan for auditing is imminent. China has a similar situation and its own characteristics. Therefore, we need to base ourselves on China's national conditions, effectively draw on the experience of other countries, and timely propose reform plans for the audit industry in China to meet the needs of all stakeholders.
