The professional master’s degree programs include accounting, valuation, and auditing. The following content takes the professional master of accounting as an example and describes the content and characteristics of the curriculum.

The training objective of the professional degree is to cultivate practical and innovative accounting professionals with a solid, systematic professional foundation, strong practical ability, and high professional quality in order to meet the needs of industry development. It has a 2-year schooling system.

There are six major courses for the professional major in accounting: financial accounting theory and practice, financial management theory and practice, managerial accounting theory and practice, corporate strategy and risk management, business ethics and accounting, and auditing theory and practice, with a total of 16 credits required. This curriculum enables students to master theoretical and practical knowledge in accounting, financial management, managerial accounting, risk management, auditing, and business ethics.

There are 11 specialized optional courses: strategic management, financial analysis and evaluation, Chinese tax system and corporate tax planning, artificial intelligence and accounting development, fundamentals of Python financial data analysis, Stata and financial data analysis, and big data and intelligent finance, which reflect the cultivation of data analysis, software application, artificial intelligence, and paper writing ability. A total of 14 credits are required.

For the specialized practical courses, students must go to enterprises for internships and practice before graduation, and at least 2 credits are required.

The Academic Master’s Degree Program comprises accounting and financial management. Taking accounting as an example, the curriculum content is described below.

The training objectives of the Academic Master’s Degree Program are oriented towards academic literacy and research, aiming to cultivate high-level and versatile professionals with innovative thinking and international vision.  These students should be well-developed in virtues, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics, and labor skills and excellent in qualities and learning. The programs implement the 2.5-year standard length of schooling and the 2.5-4 year flexible length of schooling.

The specialized courses of the Academic Master’s Degree Program include finance and accounting research methods and professional foreign language and literature reading, aiming at cultivating students’ ability in research methods and literature reading theories. On this basis, the accounting program offers financial accounting theory courses to consolidate students’ professional theoretical foundation, and 10 credits are required for these specialized courses.

The specialized courses include financial management research, auditing research, management accounting research, institutional economics, and financial accounting research, aiming at training students to learn theories of different professional directions. These courses are conducive to broadening students’ research direction and theoretical basis. On this basis, courses such as artificial intelligence and accounting development, finance and accounting AI & machine learning application, Stata application of financial accounting research, and dissertation writing are also set up to train students to master cutting-edge research methods. At least 6 credits shall be taken for specialized elective courses.

For the specialized practical courses, students must go to enterprises for internships, with at least 2 credits required.
