The School of Accounting Holds a Successful Information Session on the Undergraduate-to-Graduate Fast-Track Program with Singapore Management University /

On the afternoon of November 15, the School of Accounting convened an information session on the undergraduate-to-graduate fast-track program with Singapore Management University (SMU) in Room 246 of the Quanxue Building. Attending the session were Associate Professor Rencheng Wang and Teacher Meng Li from SMU, Yijun Liu (the teaching secretary of the School of Accounting), Qianying Song (a junior undergraduate student from the School of Accounting who successfully applied for the 3+1.5 program), and 30 other undergraduate students from the School of Accounting. The session was hosted by Yijun Liu.

Yijun Liu briefly introduced the basic details of the "3+1.5" and "4+1.5" programs between the two universities, as well as the achievements of the cooperative projects between the School of Accounting and SMU over the past year.

Associate Professor Rencheng Wang provided a detailed explanation of SMU's learning environment, faculty, employment opportunities, curriculum, unique advantages, study requirements, application procedures, and scholarships. He encouraged students to plan their careers and strive to become high-quality international talents.

Qianying Song shared her experience in applying for the "3+1.5" program and recounted her four-month study and life at SMU, offering valuable advice for her juniors who are planning to apply for the program.

The session was lively, with students actively asking questions about studying abroad to Associate Professor Rencheng Wang. He patiently addressed their queries and encouraged them to pursue their dreams of studying overseas. Teacher Meng Li and student Qianying Song also provided additional answers online.

The successful hosting of this information session not only provided students with a window to understand the cooperative program between SMU and the School of Accounting but also offered more possibilities for their future career planning and development.

Notice on the Online Information Session for the Exempted Master's Program in Accounting between the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the School of Accounting /

Recently, the School of Accounting at Dongbei University of Finance and Economics has reached an agreement with the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Both parties have agreed that our school will recommend 2-3 outstanding undergraduate students annually to pursue the Master's Program in Accounting at the Chinese University of Hong Kong without entrance examination.

To help students better understand this program, the school will hold an online information session on July 23. The session will provide a comprehensive introduction to the curriculum, teaching highlights, application key points, and career planning suggestions for the Master's Program in Accounting at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Students who are interested are encouraged to register and attend the online session to obtain the "application tips" for the program.

Introduction and Pre-Registration for the Undergraduate-to-Graduate Fast-Track Program between the School of Accounting and Singapore Management University /

The undergraduate-to-graduate fast-track program jointly launched by the School of Accounting at Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (DUFE) and the School of Accountancy at Singapore Management University (SMU) has been running for nearly a year. The school has organized multiple information sessions and mock interview activities for studying abroad to promote the program. Currently, the first batch of three students who applied have been admitted. One student has received a scholarship of S$10,000, and all will begin their master's degree studies at SMU in August of this year. Two of them are enrolled in the "3+1.5" undergraduate-to-graduate program, while one is in the "4+1.5" program. The "3+1.5" program allows students to apply voluntarily and be selected after completing the first three years of their undergraduate studies to study at SMU for 1.5 years. They can obtain both the bachelor's degree from DUFE and the master's degree from SMU. The "4+1.5" program allows students to apply voluntarily during their senior year, and after obtaining their bachelor's degree from DUFE, they can study at SMU for 1.5 years.

Introduction to the School of Accountancy at Singapore Management University

The School of Accountancy at Singapore Management University (SMU SoA) was established in 2001 as the second school within SMU and currently has a top-tier faculty of nearly 50 members. The school's mission is to cultivate well-rounded professionals and business leaders in the accounting industry through comprehensive education, thought leadership, and corporate partnerships.

According to the "Brigham Young University Accounting Research Ranking" released in February 2023, the School of Accountancy has ranked first globally for three consecutive years in the categories of "citation ranking," "empirical research (all topics)," and "empirical research (financial accounting)." Master of Science in Accounting (Data and Analytics) (MSA)

The MSA program is specifically designed for experts in the fields of finance and accounting, focusing on the application of data technology to solve complex business problems. In the era of big data, there is a significant demand for professionals who can analyze vast amounts of data to make informed decisions. As the first master's degree program in data and analytics within the accounting field in Asia, the MSA equips students with the skills to streamline processes, optimize resources, and accurately predict future trends using machine learning and data analytics.
